Ford is here to help during the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak

We understand the uncertain times currently faced by our population with the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak and want to ensure your Ford is the least of your worries. We are here to help with some important support solutions available to new and existing customers. Many service workshops remain open to support in emergencies, key workers and vital services.  We’re closely monitoring the situation and will advise you as soon as anything changes.

 

 

Vehicle health during Covid-19

Vehicle health is still vital during these difficult times.  It is therefore important for owners to maintain service intervals as per servicing interval guidelines.  However, Ford recognises the current unprecedented circumstances and offers those customers whose service is due, the following guidelines and support from our Ford Customer Relationship Centre and Ford Authorised Repairers:

If I miss my service interval is my warranty invalid?

If you miss your service interval, and do not advise the Ford Authorised Repairer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre, your warranty may be invalidated. However, if the service interval mileage limits have not been exceeded, but there is a delay in service timing due to the disruption of Covid-19, the delay will not invalidate your warranty.  Please contact your Ford Authorised Dealership to book a service at the earliest reasonable point. 

The vehicle has developed an issue, but the Warranty will expire before it can be investigated at a Dealer

Please report the issue to your Ford Authorised Repairer while the vehicle is under warranty. The investigation and repair can be completed within a reasonable time after lockdown under your existing warranty policy.  If your Ford Authorised Repairer is closed, please log the issue with the Ford Customer Relationship Centre within the warranty period, stating the issue and vehicles details.

We’ve temporarily closed our dealership showrooms; some workshops remain open to support essential businesses.

Our top priority is to keep our employees and customers safe, by helping to limit the spread of the virus where we live and work. In-line with government guidance, our dealership showrooms have been temporarily closed, and workshops are closed to the public i.e. apart from providing emergency breakdown assistance. However, many Ford workshops continue to provide support to frontline personnel as they are considered essential to the supply chain. Check with your local Dealer for more information. We’re closely monitoring the situation and will advise you as soon as anything changes.

Ensuring our customers feel safe is a top priority for us. That’s why we offer a number of contactless, digital, and secure servicing options. From making the appointment online, to picking up your vehicle, supplying you with a courtesy car, and returning your own disinfected vehicle – we’re here to get you moving again safely.

Finance support

We continue to offer vulnerable customers support when needed throughout their Ford Credit finance agreement. Additionally, we are offering customers a 3 month moratorium to help anyone with their current leasing or financing agreement. Please contact us on 1890 81 28 13 and we will arrange that for you.

Fraud alert – phishing attacks

Criminals are disguising themselves as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and other similar organisations to steal money or sensitive information. They claim to be able to provide the recipient with a list of coronavirus infected people in their area. In order to access this information, individuals need to click on a link, which leads to a malicious website, or are asked to make a payment in bitcoin. 

Do not click on links or attachments in suspicious emails (as they could download viruses onto your computer or device), and never respond to unsolicited messages and calls that ask for personal or financial details.
