Transit Minibus is our pinnacle people mover. Whether you’re carrying colleagues to a conference, or school sports team to their big game… Transit Minibus gets them there in comfort and style. Available in three different length and height configurations, you can transport up to 18 people in the L4 (extended wheelbase) option, with plenty of room for luggage too. A wide-opening, soon to be available power-operated side door provides easy access for your passengers. And for added convenience, a power-operated side step automatically extends when the door opens. A host of additional features make journeys more enjoyable, including multiple power outlets, and on-board Wi-Fi to keep you connected and your passengers entertained.
Utility
Sit up to 17 passengers in comfort
The Transit Minibus is available with up to 18 seats including the driver in. And with reclining seat backs and armrests fitted as standard on the Trend and Limited series, your passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. The ergonomically designed driver’s seat includes optional armrest and lumbar support. It’s also heated and is 10-way electrically adjustable. So it’s easy to find your ideal driving position, or change it for different drivers.
Effortless access
An extra wide side door ensures passengers and their luggage will always be able to get into the Minibus with ease. To make access even more convenient, the door can be opened and closed with the push of a button.
More space for luggage
Overhead luggage racks are available to make the best use of the interior space. The luggage racks mean there are more storage options available to your passengers. LED reading lights come as standard and help to make long journeys through the night more comfortable.
Opening rear side windows
Premium-look tinted glass is fitted as standard and fourth-row passengers can enjoy the comfort and ventilation provided by an opening window in the side load door. (Option)

Driving experience
Sees what’s coming from either side
A tiny panoramic camera on the front of the vehicle relays a split-screen image to your Transit’s multi-function display so you can see vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians coming from either side. This front wide-view camera is invaluable if you’re edging out of a narrow parking space, or in a busy road where your view is obstructed. (Option)
Spots the vehicles you might miss
Cross Traffic Alert is part of the Blind Spot Information System. When you’re reversing out of a space and have limited visibility of the traffic situation, Cross Traffic Alert can detect oncoming vehicles and sound a warning. The technology illuminates a light in the wing mirror too (left or right depending on the direction of oncoming traffic), as well as displaying a warning on the multi-functional display. (Option)
Stress-free parking
Active Park Assist in the Transit Minibus makes parking easier than ever. The system identifies a parking space that’s the right size and automatically steers you in or out, while you control the pedals and gears. This works for both perpendicular and parallel parking spots.
Front, rear and side parking distance sensors help you judge the distance between your vehicle and the obstacles around you. When the sensors detect an object, they activate a visual and audible warning that intensifies the closer you get to it. (Option)

Safety
A system that can help prevent collisions and protect pedestrians
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions. (Option)
Adaptive cruise control
Set your own pace with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control. The system can identify the prevailing speed limit and automatically maintain your selected speed within the limit detected. Advanced radar technology scans for slower traffic in front of you, and can automatically adjust your speed to maintain a pre-set gap from the vehicle ahead. When the traffic has cleared, your minibus will resume its pre-selected speed. (Option, requires SYNC 3 with Navigation)
Continuous protection against rolling over
Ford’s unique roll-rate sensor helps the Roll Stability Control system to keep the tyres grounded, specifically under conditions where there’s a high centre of gravity and when driving through off-camber turns.
Keeping your trailer safely in line
Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
