We are determined to reduce the environmental impact of our vehicles through technology. Our engineers have worked hard to deliver a Focus that emits lower CO₂ emissions. The result is the innnovative Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi, which emits just 118 g/km of CO₂; a class-leading level.

Select a temperature that's perfect for you, and a different one for your passenger. Ford Focus will keep it that way with its advanced DEATC air conditioning that has left and right zones, controllable by 0.5ºC increments. This option is available on selected models.

LED lights use much less power and have longer lives. When used in brake lights, they have a significant safety benefit too. When power is applied, they rise to full intensity faster than standard bulbs; giving drivers behind the Focus more time to react (model specific).

We are always striving for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Almost all of our vehicles and their constituent parts (up to 95%) can now be used again in other vehicles or in other manufacturing processes. The noise insulation is actually made from used denim jeans and reclaimed upholstery.

Each year in Ireland, people mistakenly add diesel to their petrol tank – or vice versa. It’s easily done – but not in a Ford Focus. Ford Easy Fuel is a capless refuelling system with a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzles used for petrol and diesel.

If you, or a member of your family suffer from allergies, you’ll be relieved to know that we have fitted an integrated pollen filter. All the materials we use inside the Focus have been fully tested to minimise allergy risk. They meet the stringent anti-allergy requirements of the TÜV TOXPROOF Criteria Catalogue for Vehicle Interiors, a renowned independent German quality standard. They also have the ‘seal of approval’ from the Asthma Society of Ireland, British Allergy Foundation and European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation.
