ONLINE ORDER FAQs

  • Due to unprecedented demand for Mustang Mach-E, Ford is temporarily limiting customer ordering of Mustang Mach-E. Some orders can still be fulfilled via our online inventory or dealer stock subject to availability. New ordering will be re-enabled as soon as possible. We plan to offer interested customers the ability to signal their interest online and notify them when stock is available. At this time, please use the "Keep Me Informed" links to register your interest in ordering a Mustang Mach-E. This does not affect customers who have already ordered a car. The global semiconductor shortage continues to affect Ford’s plants – along with other automakers and other industries around the world. We have teams working on how to maximize production, with a continued commitment to building every vehicle for our customers with the quality they expect.

  • You may need to pay your selected Ford Dealer a refundable reservation fee. The dealer will specify the deposit amount as part of the checkout process on the Ford website.

    Payments made on the Ford website will be processed using a third-party payment processor.

  • Once your reservation fee has been received, we’ll send you an email confirming your order has been placed. You can then track the progress of your order through your Ford Account. We’ll also send you an email whenever there are any updates.

  • When you order your Mustang Mach-E, you’ll be sent a unique order number. This number is a unique randomly issued 8 digit number, it is not sequential. For your own benefit and security, this number is assigned to you and cannot be transferred.

    We suggest you keep any changes to a minimum, as these could delay your delivery time.

  • You can order a maximum of 2 Mustang Mach-E vehicles per household.

    If you want to order more than 2 vehicles for your business, you’ll need to contact a participating Ford Dealer.

  • Sure thing. Ford Mustang Mach-E vehicles will be sold by participating Ford Dealers. You’ll choose your preferred Ford Dealer when you place your order. 

  • If you change your mind and want to buy from a different Ford Dealer, please call your original dealer or the CRC to discuss next steps. You may need to cancel your order through your Ford Account. 

    Then you can order a Ford Mustang Mach-E again, paying a new reservation fee to your new Ford Dealer, if applicable.

    You will be refunded your initial reservation fee within 7 days. Please bear in mind that your new vehicle may be built later than the original vehicle.

  • Orders are only accepted online. But if you prefer to go in store, a participating Ford Dealer will be happy to talk you through the process.

  • We'd be sad to see you go, so if you're having issues or want to make any changes, get in touch and let us know. We'll do all we can to help.

    If you do want to cancel your order, just log into your Ford Account, click the cancellation button and follow the on-screen instructions. Your reservation fee will be refunded within 7 days via your original payment method.

    If you have a finance or lease application on your order, you will be unable to cancel your order online. You will need to talk to your Ford Dealer who will arrange the cancellation for you. 

    If your order is over 6 months old and your payment card has expired, we will refund your reservation fee manually and this will take up to 10 working days. This will be arranged by the CRC. 

  • Yes it is.

    If you change your mind and want to cancel your order, simply log into your Ford Account, click the cancellation button and follow the on-screen instructions. Your reservation fee will be refunded via your original payment method within 7 days.

  • Whenever there’s an update to your order, we’ll send you an email to let you know. For instance you’ll be notified when your car is being built or when it’s ready for collection or delivery.

    You can also log into your Ford Account at any time to track the progress of your Ford Mustang Mach-E.

  • Please inform your Ford Dealer about any issues straight away. 

    We’ll aim to rectify any problems and find a solution as soon as practically possible.

  • No, your selected Ford Dealer will take care of registration for you.

    There may be exceptions to this if you’re buying your Mustang Mach-E from a country that is not your country of residence.

  • The customer order from sets out the terms and conditions between you as the customer and your selected Ford Dealer.

  • The online order process will inform you when a customer order form needs to be signed. For your convenience. our online journey includes an online signature.

  • Yes. If you would feel more comfortable with this approach please select the option to 'sign at dealer'.

  • You will need to speak to your Ford Dealer to cancel.

  • Adding to your order post checkout will need to be discussed with your Ford Dealer.

  • Your order information will be shared with your selected Ford Dealer.

  • You will be directed back to the configurator where you can reselect your vehicle. 

  • The Ford CRC will be in touch with you - please contact them if you wish.

  • You can select to buy from any participating Ford Dealer on the Ford website. If your preferred dealer is not available, they will not be taking part in online sales.

  • You will need to pay this balance prior to e-signing your finance contract. You can do this online (up to a limit of £1000) or speak to your Ford Dealer about settling the balance offline.

  • Your preferred Ford Dealer. The balance can be taken offline or online (up to a maximum of £1,000).

    The FordPass app and Ford Account give you access to features such as:

    • Charging management.
    • Climate conditioning.
    • Trip planning.
    • Ambient lighting and sound control.
    • Vehicle handling.
  • FordPass gives you the tools to easily manage and customise your public and home charging experience on the go. Monitor charging progress, set charging schedules, save your favourite charging stations, pay for charging and more.

  • Much like setting an alarm, pre-conditioning prepares your car for the day ahead. With your vehicle plugged-in, you can enter planned commute times and preferred cabin temperatures and 'wake' your car each day. These simple actions help preserve vehicle range and make sure your Mustang Mach-E is charged and ready to go when you are.

  • Plan your next trip hassle-free with Power My Trip which factors in your current state of charge and identifies charging points along your route.

  • Remote Vehicle Setup allows you to create one profile before delivery. Once you are behind the wheel, you may send that profile to your Mustang Mach-E and set up two other drivers directly from the SYNC 4A screen inside the vehicle.

  • You can change your settings in the FordPass app or your Ford Account. However, once your profile is sent to your Mustang Mach-E, changes will need to be made on the SYNC screen inside the car.

  • Your profile is automatically saved as you complete each step.

  • It may be a connectivity problem. Make sure you and your Mustang Mach-E are in an area with good Wi-Fi or a network connection and press 'Send to Vehicle' from Remote Vehicle Setup. Your profile may take a few minutes to load. If you do not see the personalised welcome message after a few minutes, turn off the ignition, unlock the doors, wait two minutes and try again. If you continue to experience issues, contact us for help.

  • For profile settings: press your profile photo at the top of your SYNC screen.

    For saved places: press Navigation, then the search bar.

    For departure times: press your profile photo at the top of your SYNC screen. Scroll down until you see Departure and Comfort.

    For Drive Experiences: press your profile photo at the top of your SYNC screen. Then, at the top of the screen, select Controls. Scroll down until you see Drive Experiences.

  • We only use the information we collect to deliver a more personalised driving and charging experience. For example, your vehicle location is used to find nearby charging stations and provide navigation services. Please see our FordPass Privacy Policy and Ford Connected Vehicle Privacy Policy for more information.

  • The Mustang Mach-E is a connected vehicle, designed to enhance your driving and charging experiences with time-saving features such as charge management, trip planning, start/stop, lock/unlock and even pre-conditioning of the vehicle. If you don't connect your Mustang Mach-E to FordPass or your Ford Account you won't have access to any connected features and won't be using your electric vehicle to its full potential.
