THE JOURNEY BEGINS

On September 8th, 2023, Lexie Alford, known to millions as @LexieLimitless, began an epic, pioneering road trip in the New All-Electric Ford Explorer®.

Her goal: to be the first person to circumnavigate the globe in an electric vehicle. A journey inspired by the trailblazing adventurer, Aloha Wanderwell.

One hundred years ago, Aloha became the first woman to drive around the world. And she did it in a Ford Model-T. Expedition driver, translator and filmmaker, Aloha started her journey when she was just 16. Her story is just as incredible as her achievement.

Like Aloha, Lexie Limitless has set off and will finish her journey in Nice, France. She will visit six continents and cover vast distances. On the way she'll meet other trailblazers, visit fascinating places — and, we hope, find enough chargers along the way!

READY FOR ADVENTURE

ADVANCED EXPLORER TRAINING

To prepare for the challenges ahead, Lexie visited the Ford Lommel Proving Ground in Belgium. Despite this being her first time at the wheel of the Explorer, she quickly adapted to driving an electric vehicle and completed her Advanced Driver Training certification.

VISTING THE WEATHER FACTORY

Lexie visited our state-of-the-art Environmental Test Centre, also known as, the Weather Factory. From Arctic cold to desert heat and tropical humidity, she discovered how we test Explorer to the extreme. Reassuring, as soon they'll be crossing continents together.

MEETING TEAM EXPLORER
