Detachable Tow Bar

Enjoy easy handling with our detachable tow bar– designed to be fully compatible with the electrical systems of your Ford. 

Tow bars are usually fixed, so they permanently stick out from the back of a vehicle. But with our detachable tow bar, you can conveniently detach the trailer coupling when you don't need it. Our Ford original detachable tow bars are available for your Transit Connect, Brink® detachable tow bars are available for your Transit Custom. 

The electrical kits perform to the highest levels as they are designed to work with the vehicles CAN Bus system so that they integrate with Ford electrical systems and safety features. Both tow bar and electrical kit are tested for compatibility with the vehicle electrical systems beyond the legal requirements. 

A Ford e-kits also enable Trailer Sway Control (part of the Electronic Stability Control), where available. When trailer sway is detected, the system redirects engine torque and applies the brake to the appropriate wheel to help restore control.

Keep your trailer in line with Trailer Sway Control, enabled by Ford e-kits. It detects when your trailer is ‘snaking’ and automatically reduces your vehicle’s speed, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on the wheels.
