How to Set Up a Ford Wallbox and Connect it to FordPass
The Ford Connected Wallbox is a component of the Ford Connected Charge Station (FCCS) and is an optional home charging point. The Ford Connected Wallbox is your fastest home charging option: it can recharge over 20 miles of range every hour, and will complete a full charge overnight.

How to set up a Ford Wallbox
Requirements:
- The charge station should be installed by an electrician. Installation, electrical connection, and initial operation of the charge station must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The station installation must comply with the locally applicable requirements regarding electrical installations, fire protection, safety regulations, and escape routes at the intended installation location.
- FordPass installed and an active working account.
- Download/install the Ford Charge Station Setup App.
Note: The Ford Connected Wallbox is no longer available to purchase in Europe.
Once a Wallbox is installed, you will have to perform an initial set up on the Wallbox using the steps below. To activate and set up the Wallbox, you have to install the Ford Wallbox Setup app from either the Google Play Store (Android Users) or the App Store (iPhone Users).
- Tap ENERGY on the Home Screen on the FordPass app.
- Tap on Charge Station.
- Tap START SETUP.
- Select the Let’s Go button.
- If the setup is installed on the phone it would open automatically (go to step 6).
- If the setup app is not installed, you will be redirected to an app store to download the app (go to step 5).
- After tapping the Let’s Go button, you will redirect to the App Store or the Google Play Store if the app is not installed. You can tap install on the store page, to install the app. If the app is already installed it will take you to step 6.
- Once the app is installed, you must open the Ford Charge Station Setup app and tap START SETUP.
- After downloading the app, you will then have to pair your station. You can tap Cancel to cancel set up, or tap Pair Station to start the pairing process. On Tapping the "i” bubble, the "Device pairing information" screen is shown.
- Tap Pair Station, the app will search for a Wallbox station and once found, lists it in the "Select Your Station" page. If there is more than one station, more than one will be listed and you will have to select the one you want to pair. If only one station is present, it will be default selected. You will then tap Next to proceed.
Note: The pairing process works through Bluetooth, and therefore, the phone needs to have Bluetooth enabled. If the Bluetooth is not enabled the app will ask you to allow Bluetooth to be enabled.
- On the "Select Your Station" page, you can tap the “i” bubble to see what a Station ID is. You can tap Got It to return to the "Select Your Station" page. You can tap Cancel to cancel set up or press Next to continue on to the next step.
- On tapping Next, you will be brought to the "Access Code" screen. Tapping the “i” bubble in the "Access Code" screen will display an information screen on what an access code is. Once the Access Code is entered, you can tap Next to proceed. When entering the Access Code, the Next button will be enabled, when the Access Code entered is valid and a green checkmark appears.
Note: The information needed to setup the Wallbox (Station ID and Access Code) is located on a sticker on the first page of the Home Charging Station Owner’s Manual as well as on the Wallbox behind the beauty cover. Beauty Cover is also called a decorative cover or face plate. If you need the Station ID and Access Code and do not have the Home Charging Station Owner’s Manual, you can option to remove the beauty cover to get the Station and Access Code. - Once the access code is entered, a "Pairing Successful" page appears. You can then proceed by tapping Find Networks, to connect their Wallbox to Wi-Fi.
- On tapping Find Networks, Wi-Fi Networks that are currently in range appear.
Note: You can also select a hidden network and use the network name to connect.- To select an existing network, you tap on Select for your preferred Wi-Fi network. Then tap Next.
- On tapping Next, you will be prompted to enter the password for the network. You then tap Connect Wi-Fi, the "Connection Successful" screen then appears. You will then tap on Continue. Proceed to step 14.
- If you need to connect to a hidden network, tapping on Select Hidden Network will allow you to enter Network Information – Name, Password and Security. Once the password is validated, a green check mark will be displayed. You can then tap Connect Wi-Fi, to connect the Wallbox to Wi-Fi. A connection successful screen then appears. You will then have to tap Continue to proceed.
- Once the Wallbox is successfully connected to Wi-Fi, you can connect their charging station to FordPass. You tap on Connect on the "Connect Station to Ford Apps" screen. You must then tap on FordPass to proceed.
Note: Ford Telematics Drive is an application used by Ford Pro Customers.

How to connect a Ford Wallbox to FordPass
After completing the Wallbox set-up detailed above, you should follow these steps to connect that Wallbox to FordPass:
- You will then be routed to the "Add Your Station in FordPass" screen. You will have to tap Next to proceed.
- You will then be routed to the "Confirm Your Station’s Location" screen. You will have to tap Next.
- If you need to edit your location, tap the Edit link in the "Confirm Your Station’s Location" screen. You then tap Save, to save the edited location. A green confirmation message appears, notifying you that the location has been updated.
- Once you confirm your location, you are asked to "Name your Charging Station" and tap on Next to continue.
- You are then asked to "Set Permissions". You can turn the access control on and off, using the toggle. Once you tap Save, you will see the "Success" screen and can tap on Go To Dashboard to go to the Home Charging Station web view landing page.
Notes:- If you choose not to turn the Access Control on, the lock/unlock toggle will not be displayed on the screen.
- The Auto Unlock feature turns on by default with Access Control turned on. The Auto Unlock feature uses the address entered during setup. If that address is incorrect or does not indicate correct location of the Wallbox, the Auto Unlock feature may not work when enabled.
- If you have elected to update your location, you can then scroll down on the Wallbox web view landing page to Settings, to update access control settings which can be toggled on and off.
- You can also update your charger names, by tapping on Edit, next to the "Station Nickname" under Settings. Once updated, you can tap on Save, to save the new nickname. A confirmation message appears, notifying you that your station name has been updated. You tap Save to continue.
