The Tourneo Custom is now available with a FordPass Connect modemFordPass Connect modem 2020. The system provides a range of invaluable benefits, including up to 4G WiFiWi-Fi hotspot for up to ten devices, and real-time traffic updatesLive Traffic acess delivered straight to your in-car navigation system. When combined with the FordPass app on your phone, you’ll be able to check if you remembered to lock the doors, and then lock or unlock them remotely. You can even see your van’s location on a map – so you don’t have to worry about forgetting where you parked when in unfamiliar locations.
The driver’s seat is fully adjustable, along with the steering wheel, so you can find your ideal driving position. There’s a built-in armrest too, whilst adjustable lumbar support, heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat are options. Then there’s the highly versatile conference seating, where the second row can be turned around to face the rear of the vehicle. This offers numerous possible configurations to create the perfect space or to maximise the luggage area, without having to take any seats out.
If you ever need more than the usual load space, second and third row seats can be removed individually. This allows you to set up your vehicle to give you the exact space required.
Ford SYNC 3 helps you to stay connected. You can control your phone, music and navigation with natural voice commands. Send destinations from the FordPass app on your smartphone, straight to the SYNC 3 navigation. The system has an 8” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive control. SYNC 3 can also connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and with AppLink, you can access some of your favourite smartphone apps.
There’s plenty of clever covered storage, including on the top of the instrument cluster. The lidded compartment contains a 12V power socket, an auxiliary input and a standard USB port.
You can also have an optional 150-Watt, 240V power inverter socket fitted between the driver and passenger seats.
Smart features, such as a roller-covered cup-holder, bottle-holders, under-seat containers for laptops and files, door bins and a fold-out table help you keep things tidy and valuables out of sight.
For greater flexibility and easier access, there are sliding doors on both sides. Great care has gone into the design of the doors, with the sliding door track covered to conceal the mechanism, improve aerodynamic efficiency and help reduce noise. There are also premium quality running boards below the doors which are fitted as standard.
An innovative roof rack simply folds flat when not in use. As well as saving you the inconvenience of bolting on and taking off a conventional rack, it also helps save fuel because of reduced drag and gives you a quieter ride with less wind noise.
Rain-sensing wipers spring into action when they detect moisture on your windscreen, then adjust their speed to deal with whatever the weather throws at you. You can even choose from several sensitivity levels that determine how much moisture can build up before the wipers activate.
This clever feature is designed to get you on the move quickly on frosty mornings. Just touch a button and ultra-thin filaments can superheat to de-ice, de-fog and de-mist your windscreen as well as help defrost the wipers. The system works in seconds, even if it’s freezing outside.
This useful technology makes it almost impossible to put the wrong fuel in your vehicle, because the wrong nozzle simply won’t fit. Even better, as Ford Easy Fuel is a capless system, you’ll never have to handle a dirty fuel cap again.
To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors automatically fold inwards when you lock the vehicle. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.
A redesigned climate control system delivers more effective air-conditioning with faster cooling and heating. It’s controlled by three rotary dials for easy operation. The cabin has dedicated footwell ducts for both driver and passengers and the air flow ensures that everyone has an individual vent. A pollen filter is also fitted to make sure the air you breathe is as fresh as possible.
With a focus on passenger comfort, the Tourneo Custom Shuttle Bus L2 offers generous space in each of its four rows of Direct Access Seats. Rear seats are easily reached from the kerb-side sliding doors. Available on all series, and including a full leather interior option, it's the ideal way to prioritise passenger comfort and mobility over luggage space.
