Ford vans win Continental Irish Vans of the Year 2010 hat trick
Ford vans made a clean sweep of the prestigious Continental 'Irish Car of the Year 2010'awards. The winning Ford CVs as voted by the Irish Motoring Writers Association (IMWA) are:
2010 Car derived Van of the Year: Ford Fiesta Van
2010 SUV derived Van of the Year: Kuga Zetec AWD Commercial
2010 Commercial Van of the Year: Transit Connect Van
The Transit Connect took the highest accolade with the award for overall 'Irish Van of the Year' 2010 due to its price, specification, flexibility as well as unsurpassed engineering and build quality.
Presenting the award to Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland, Paddy Murphy of Continental Tyres said:
"Ford has long enjoyed a leading position in the van marketplace in Ireland, and it’s through vehicles like the Transit Connect. The blue oval’s hat-trick of awards is a tribute to the brand’s CV credentials."
