Transit Chassis Cab provides the widest, most flexible choice and with it, maximum versatility. But whichever combination you go for, the robust ladder-frame chassis (with integral body mounting points and low frame rails) provides a strong, reliable base to build on.

•    Choice of four frame lengths
•    Maximum payload and body versatility
•    Suitable for standard and specialist bodywork conversions
Here are the key features of our solid, tough and dependable chassis.
 
•    Flat, straight top of frame
•    Three gross vehicle weights: 3000 kg, 3,500 kg and 4,600 kg
•    Wheelbase and overhang dimensions suitable for industry-standard body sizes: 2.8, 3.2, 3.65, and 4.0 m
•    Designed to accommodate non-standard body sizes (either larger or smaller)
•    Accommodates body widths from 2.05 to 2.3 m
•    Robust inverted closed ‘top hat’ section, pressed high tensile steel frame (double ‘top hat’ for 4600 kg models)
•    Integral body mounting points and bolt-on saddle brackets for 4600 kg models
•    Flat, vertical back of cab
•    Removable rear closing member and rear lights, for different rear overhangs
•    Easily fitted optional bolt-on rear frame overhangs, where required
•    Higher centre of gravity suspension as standard, to cope with large bodywork
•    Electrical connections for additional exterior lighting, where required

Dual rear wheels
•    Provide increased rear axle capacity and loading latitude
•    Best all-round combination, but ideally suited to high payload/high traction requirements
•    Standard rear anti-roll bar to improve driveability, particularly when laden
•    Available only with RWD
 
Single rear wheels
•    Ideally suited to narrow bodywork and use in confined areas, like city centres
•    Available with FWD or RWD
More fuel-efficient, especially when combined with FWD
