The strong contemporary design of the Transit Chassis Cab conveys the ability to deliver, whichever angle you look at it. Head on, the three-bar grille with large Ford oval badge displays its heritage with pride and is flanked by large headlights. But style is nothing without substance. The bold, modern exterior is specially reinforced to offer all-round passive protection.

Transit was awarded the prestigious title 'International Van of the Year 2007'. The panel of independent leading commercial vehicle journalists, representing 19 European countries, made it clear they were seriously impressed with the advances Ford have made. They said:

Commitment to the future
We are always striving for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Almost all of our vehicles and their constituent parts (up to 95%) can now be re-employed in other vehicles or in other manufacturing processes. For example, our vehicles’ noise insulation is made from used denim jeans and reclaimed upholstery.
