Inside the new Ford Transit
As soon as you’re inside the cab of a Transit, you’ll notice the car-like comfort and advanced technology. In fact, the design has been further enhanced to make your working day more enjoyable and productive, and less stressful.
Car-like comfort

The inside of the Transit has been designed with more than cargo in mind. We’ve thought just as much about the driver and passengers. So, while the loadspace is certainly practical, the cab is spacious and ergonomically designed, with many high tech features. And although the materials used are durable and hardwearing, they’re also chosen for their high quality feel. This combination of thoughtful design, attention to detail, technology and materials results in exceptional levels of comfort, perhaps associated more with cars than commercial vehicles.

Lighter Steering

A lighter, more responsive steering system makes the new Transit easier to drive in congested towns and to manoeuvre in tight parking spaces.

Facia-mounted gearshift

This is ergonomically designed to fall naturally to hand and provide smoother, more car-like, gear changes. As the gearshift is positioned on the facia, the driver and passenger have unrestricted cross-cab access.

Even quieter than before

We’ve made several refinements to reduce noise and vibration. They counter noise not only from the engine but also from the wind and road outside.

High quality materials

Selected to provide both car-like levels of comfort and van-like levels of durability, the interior of the Transit is finished with high quality materials on seats, headliner and throughout the cabin.

Innovative stowage

Whatever you need to take to work with you, you’re sure to find a space for it. The glovebox has been designed with rails to take A4 hanging files. There are two, 2-litre bottle holders and a useful facia-top stowage box has room for an A4 clipboard. There’s even a fold-out work surface with cup holders and two 12-volt power points; ideal when you need to catch up on paperwork or use a laptop between destinations.

Practical stowage

With practical stowage for all your working papers and personal items, there’s a place for everything inside the Transit’s cab.

Shift Indicator Light

An easy-to-spot light in the instrument cluster illuminates briefly to tell you the most efficient time to change up a gear.

Rear-view camera

The optional rear-facing camera displays the view behind on a 7” TFT LCD screen in the cab. This can make reversing both easier and safer. (Optional)

Climate control

When it’s hot outside you’ll appreciate the enhanced cooling performance of the optional air-conditioning. And when the temperature drops, there’s also an optional fuel-fired heater. (Optional)

Self-charging ignition key

Another unique feature is the waterproof key fob that also self-charges. Just two minutes of drive time gives you enough charge for 32 button presses, so the key is always ready for use.

Cruise control

Just set your desired speed via switches on the ergonomically designed, 4-spoke leather steering wheel, and let cruise control make travelling long distances far less tiring. (Optional)

Premium Visibility Pack

The Premium Visibility Pack consists of the Quickclear heated windscreen and electric heated door mirrors. It also includes automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, instrument panel dimmer, front fog lights and stepped bumpers. (Optional)

The right Transit for you
With a wide range of model variants, available in four lengths and three roof heights, you’re sure to find a Transit that’s ideally suited to your business.
Generous rear loading

The full-size rear doors open to 180° and up to 256° on the Jumbo, to make loading a Transit easier and more practical. And the loading bay itself is cleverly designed to maximise the available space: it can fit 8' x 4' boards, either flat or on their sides, or up to five Europallets (in a Jumbo Van). An extended wheelbase model is ideal for even longer loads, such as lengths of carpet and pipe.

Practical and accessible

To look after both your cargo and your van, the optional Protection Kit includes MDF panels and a full-length rubber mat, as well as ample tie-down points to secure everything you’ll ever need to carry.

Increased usable area

The Transit’s load area is laid out to maximise the space available to you. In fact, the distance between the wheel arches is the widest in its class.
