Ford Ranger class-leading payload
A pick-up built for purpose
Its interior may be comfortable and relaxing, but the Ranger is a vehicle designed primarily for work. With class-leading payload and towing capability, along with a range of features and accessories to manage all kinds of load, it’s a very practical choice. And with new, lower cost-of-ownership figures, it’s a good choice financially, too.
The Ranger is designed to be able to cope with virtually any carrying or towing task you set it.
Class-leading payload and towing capability
The new Ranger achieves best-in-class payload and towing capability of an impressive 1,309 kg and 3,350 kg respectively.

Towing capability in figures
The Ranger makes light work of heavy loads, whether on level ground or towing uphill.

Here you can see in figures just how much it can move.

4x4 Regular Cab, Double Cab: Unbraked 750 kg*; Braked 3350 kg*
*In some situations ‘4L’ may need to be used.
The new Ranger offers a variety of ways to keep all kinds of loads safe and secure.
Versatile, lockable pick-up box for peace of mind
The new Ranger’s pick-up box can carry a standard Euro pallet, the tools of your trade, or all you need for a weekend camping trip. It also offers a number of ways to keep your load safe, all of which are DIN compliant. They include sturdy tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest, and (on some models) exterior rope rails. For security and peace of mind, the tailgate can be locked and unlocked manually.
Sturdy tie-downs for a safer load
To help carry your load safely, these tie-downs can be internal or external and the number varies according to cab type. All are DIN compliant.
Lockable roller shutter secures and protects cargo
Available on Wildtrak models, this feature provides extra security for cargo in the pick-up bed. It can be locked in three different positions, is water resistant and is sturdy enough to withstand another half-tonne load on top of it.

Convenient 12 volt power socket
Standard on XLT, Limited and Wildtrak versions, where a bedliner is fitted, the socket is located conveniently in the pick-up box area, so you can run a fridge or other electrical appliance.

Cargo Management System for loads of all sizes
The system has two rails (one down each side of the load box), with two adjustable cleats on each side. These can be moved along to suit the size of load.

Secure load rest
To make sure everything stays where you put it, the pick-up box walls are not only higher, but they also incorporate tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest and two pivoting guides mounted, for long objects, on the rear structure. (Check models for availability.)

Integrated load box enhances design
Each cab type has a unique load box that curves slightly at the top to integrate with the cab itself. This adds to the Ranger’s bold, streamlined design.
