The interiors of the new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX share the same design in the driver and front passenger section. They're different in the rear seating area, due to the 5-seat and 7-seat arrangements. The centre console's graceful curves and high quality materials are matched by plush trim levels across the range to give a more luxurious feel. The new LED cabin lighting adds more contemporary ambience and creates a premium feel. The overall understated elegance perfectly complements the state-of-the-art technology inside, including the audio and navigation systems.

This upgraded digital command console is available across the line-up and lets you access key vehicle controls using your fingertips to operate toggle switches on the steering wheel. This means you can enjoy a more relaxed drive as you control many of the car’s systems without taking your hands off the wheel. There’s also built-in connectivity available for your iPod®, MP3 player or USB stick so you can control your music player via the optional Sony audio system.

An AUX jack is the standard input, so you can plug in your MP3 player and operate it yourself. Alternatively, you can also use the USB connection to plug in your MP3 player. To control the music, just operate the remote audio controls, or issue voice commands using Bluetooth^® with Voice Control technology. (Standard)

Carefully designed stowage areas are located throughout the cabin, including generous door pockets, a large glovebox, and additional compartments and cupholders in the centre console. Plus, with all the seats folded flat there is a generous 1,771 mm of stowage length in the Grand C-MAX and 1,706 mm in the C-MAX – space enough for a bicycle, 2 seater sofa or mattress. Even with only on third row seats down the Grand C-MAX still has 1,077 mm of stowage length.

The Grand C-MAX's ingenious 7-seat interior sets it apart as an ultra-versatile multi-activity vehicle. That's because you can access third row seating by creating a walk-through. The interior can be quickly and easily configured into a 2+2+2 layout. Using only one hand, you can simply fold away the middle second row seat beneath one of the outer seats.

 

The C-MAX can also accommodate a family of five in refined comfort. It keeps the popular layout of three individual 40/20/40 folding rear seats with the option to create a more luxurious 2+2 layout for more legroom or fold them all flat to maximise the loadspace.

Neatly positioned behind the rear-view mirror, there is a handy A5-size stowage compartment, sunglasses holder and flip-down child observation mirror (Standard on Titanium).

The robust, full-height dog guard system keeps dogs or items of luggage safely in the luggage compartment or within the vehicle. The guard can be fixed either behind the second row seats or behind the front seats when the second row seats have been folded down. As you would expect, the system meets European safety requirements.

Thanks to Quickclear technology, you don’t have to shiver outside, slowly scraping it off. Instead you simply press a button to activate your windscreen’s invisible heating elements and melt the ice. Quickclear is also helpful when your windscreen mists up while driving. (Standard)

This automatically detects the glare from the headlights of following vehicles, and reduces the brightness. It prevents you from being distracted or dazzled, which makes night-time driving easier and safer. (Standard on Titanium)

Designed to block more of the sun’s heat than standard glass. This means the interior has less heat build up on warm days, which provides a more comfortable environment for you and your family.
