This windscreen has been specially designed so that it blocks more of the sun’s heat than standard glass. This means the interior has less heat build up on warm days, which provides a more comfortable driving environment for you.

From the variable climate-controlled front seats to the ample head and leg room available in all three rows of seats, this majestic vehicle personifies comfort and relaxation. It can also easily find space for that all-important luggage. With the Ford FoldFlatSystem (FFS), the car’s seating can be configured an incredible 32 different ways for ultimate flexibility.

You no longer need to insert the key into the ignition to start the car. You simply push the power button while holding the clutch down (or brake pedal on an automatic) and the engine fires into life. Also available with the Ford Key-Free System: the keyless entry system that lets you lock and unlock your car without taking your key out of your pocket or bag.
Variable climate-controlled front seats
Individual seat comfort, controlled by the occupant, that improves driving comfort, particularly on longer distances. With a choice of five heating and ventilation levels, the seats feature built-in heating elements to provide the desired temperature while the perforated seat trim and fans inside the seats allow cool air from within the car to circulate between the seats and their occupants.
Dual Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC)
When you travel in Galaxy, your individual comfort is always assured. DEATC allows you to set the temperature separately to suit your individual preferences, whether sitting in the driver’s seat, or as a front-seat passenger – with as much as 4ºC variation between each zone. Rear-seat passengers also have a separate compressor that delivers extra cool air, if required available on Titanium.
Ford Key-Free System
New to Galaxy, the Ford Key-Free System is a keyless entry system that lets you lock and unlock your car, without taking your key out of your pocket or bag. Sensors around the car detect the presence of the ‘passive key’ and activate the locking mechanism accordingly (optional).
Ford FoldFlatSystem (FFS)
You could be a DIY enthusiast, or your daughter’s mountain bike could need picking up, or maybe you’ve been nominated as roadie for your son’s band. Whatever you and your family need to carry, Galaxy is flexible enough to cope. FFS means each rear seat folds down flush with the floor, plus the second-row seats can also slide and tilt. In total, there are an astonishing 32 possible seating combinations.
Luxury trims and fabrics
The blend of elegant leather or fabric textures, complemented by high contrast stitching, elevates the interior to a higher level of luxury and prestige. New stylish door spears and instrument panel trims add further elegance, including the sophisticated new Mercury or contemporary Chrome Brushed finish.

Carefully selected materials and well-balanced colour tones add further stylish accents. A choice of colours and elegant fabrics are available. The soft-touch materials, such as new Windsor leather, beautifully complement the design flourishes and features inside the cabin. Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Ford Convers+
This intuitive digital command centre helps you stay in complete control of many of the car’s systems. Featuring an enhanced or Ford Convers+ cluster display, the HMI is operated by two steering wheel-mounted toggles for audio and vehicle settings. With the left toggle you can find and change radio stations or CD tracks, as well as set the volume. The right toggle switch controls the cluster display for vehicle settings and the trip computer. On the Ford Convers+ cluster display, the right toggle lets you scroll through MultiMedia lists, controlling the phone, radio, and CD player. An optional USB/MP3/iPod® connectivity port is also available.
Bluetooth®* with Voice Control
Now you can choose to safely make hands-free calls on the move from your mobile by using Voice Control technology. This system lets you control a Bluetooth®*-compatible mobile, as well as the car’s audio, DVD navigation and climate control systems (optional).

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Forward Alert (FA)
With ACC you can automatically keep your chosen distance from the car in front. Should the car in front slow down and reduce the gap, your speed drops, too. And when traffic speeds up, you automatically return to cruising speed. Meanwhile, FA monitors your distance to the vehicle in front and if you drive too close, a warning noise and flashing light activate. Adjustable Speed Limiting Device (ASLD) is also optionally available.
Adjustable Speed Limiting Device (ASLD)
This new driver assistance system is included as part of cruise control. ASLD is designed to help drivers avoid exceeding driver-selected speeds unintentionally – for example, staying within legal speed limits during long road trips. By using enhanced cruise control switches on the steering wheel, you can adjust your top speed limit within a range of 30 to 180 km/h (19 to 112 mph). Should you try to exceed that range, the engine management system intervenes to maintain your set speed limit.

Accessories
Whether you’re going on that well-earned skiing break, or off to the DIY store, there is a wide range of accessories for expanding Galaxy’s stowage capacity.
Skis and snowboards can be either roof-mounted or transported inside using the Activity Kit which uses aluminium bars and attachments to lock items securely in place.
There is also a Thule roof box to transport additional loads safely in all weathers.
Additionally, you can choose a robust, full-height dog guard to keep extra family luggage or pets safely in the rear. You can fix the dog guard either behind the second row of seats, or behind the front seats when the second-row seats are folded down. The dog guard meets stringent Economic Commission for Europe (ECE-R17) safety requirements and is available to order.
