Technical highlights
Fiesta’s design has been heavily influenced by the look, style and feel of now, but that’s only half the story. Inside, every piece of technology, every new feature, has been examined and the learnings gleaned from a variety of different industries applied to them. The result is a car that’s as innovative as it is chic.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
Fitted as standard on all models, ABS stops the brakes from locking the wheels. This helps prevent skidding if you have to brake when cornering or need to make an emergency stop. For further stability when braking, this system comes with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
Fiesta
Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
EBA ensures full braking force is available whenever necessary, helping reduce stopping distances in an emergency. And, should you need to brake heavily, the hazard warning lights automatically come on to alert other drivers.
Park Assist (optional)
Optional rear sensors make parking and manoeuvring both safer and easier. An audible warning helps you judge the distance between your car and any obstacle behind you. So when you find a space you can demonstrate to any spectators how to park quickly and confidently.
Electronic Stability Programme (standard)
Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) comes as standard on the Fiesta. It senses when the vehicle is losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels, stabilising it, helping you keep control.
Connectivity Module
Fiesta’s connectivity module allows you to plug in your own MP3 player or iPod, using the USB, jack or Y-cable. Then simply access and play all your favourite tracks or playlists. This clever little module is easily accessible in the centre console; a highly advanced multi-functional unit as highly styled and as technologically advanced as the latest mobile phones. Even better, toggles on the steering wheel allow you to operate many of the unit’s functions remotely.
Bluetooth®* with Voice Control (optional)
Bluetooth® with Voice Control technology will let you make and receive calls, change the radio station, CD track and adjust the temperature or fan settings safely on the optional EATC, just by using voice commands.
Are you compatible?
Certain phones require a special file to be installed to enable full phonebook access via Buetooth. This is referred to as a SIS file and is available to download here.
*The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Ford Motor Company Limited and its associated companies is under licence. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners.
Rain-sensing wipers and auto-headlights (optional)
Optional rain-sensing wipers offer six levels of sensitivity, springing into action automatically at the first drop of rain and increasing in speed to deal with whatever the weather can throw at you. Aside from the added convenience, it means one less thing to think about.

This option also comes with lighting technology designed to make night-time driving easier, safer and more comfortable. Auto-headlights turn on when the sensors detect that light is fading. So at dusk, at night, or when you enter a tunnel, you can simply continue to enjoy the drive, knowing Fiesta will take care of all those mundane functions.
Headlamp Courtesy Delay
This feature comes as standard, on the entire Fiesta range. When you arrive home after an enjoyable night out, flash the left stalk and the headlamps will stay on for a short while, illuminating the way to your door. So your clothes aren’t ruined by tripping up or stepping through mud.
