New Ford S-MAX and New Galaxy arrive in Ireland

Cork, May 25 2010 – Ford Ireland has announced the line up and prices for the new S-MAX and Galaxy models which go on sale here this week.

The new models have had a range of interior and exterior design changes and also feature the new, high efficiency 2.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine. An improved version of the TDCi 2.0 litre engine is also included in the range for both vehicles.

The new S-MAX is available in Ireland in three trim levels: Zetec, Titanium and Titanium S and the line up will also feature a special launch model for €29,995 with: steel wheels, front electric windows, manual air conditioning, cruise control and ESP.

The specification details for each trim level are as follows:

Zetec: 16” 5x3-spoke alloy wheels; air conditioning with Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC); Sports style front seats; electrically operated front and rear windows; cruise control; Ford Intelligent Protection System (IPS); Ford Easy Fuel capless refuelling system.

Titanium (in addition to Zetec): 17” 5x2-spoke alloy wheels; chrome finish on window surround; automatic headlights and autowipers with rain sensor; Convers+ instrument cluster; enhanced interior lighting solar reflective windscreen and Sony stereo system.

Titanium S (in addition to Titanium): 18” 5-spoke alloy wheels; rear privacy glass; exterior styling kit; halogen Adaptive Front-lighting system (AFS); partial leather seats with red stitching; sports suspension.

Similarly, the new Galaxy is available in three trim levels: Zetec; Ghia; and Titanium and the specification details for each trim level are as follows:

Zetec: 16” 5-spoke alloy wheels; front fog lights; silver-finish roof rail system; rear privacy glass; electrically-operated and heated door mirrors; electrically-operated windows front and rear; air conditioning with Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC); Ford Intelligent Protection System (IPS); Ford Easy Fuel capless refuelling system.

Ghia (in addition to Zetec): 17” 5x2-spoke alloy wheels; automatic lights, wipers and dipping rear view mirror; solar reflective windscreen; front door scuff plates; leather handbrake grip; rear floor mats; rear air conditioning; Sony radio / CD with 11 premium speakers; floodlit boot area; long overhead console with auxiliary rear view mirror; driver and passenger underseat stowage.

Titanium (in addition to Ghia): 17” 15-spoke alloy wheels; Convers+ instrument cluster; sports-style front seats; brushed metal door spears.
