September 4, 2008 – The all new incarnation of Ireland’s best selling small car, the Ford Fiesta, has just been launched. Having sold more than 160,000 units in Ireland since it was first introduced in 1976, the Fiesta is one of the best known and best loved cars in the country.

August 22, 2008 - Cork is the first city in Ireland to have an innovative car sharing service which will be officially launched next month by the Minister for Transport.

August 15, 2008 - The highly-anticipated new James Bond adventure, ‘Quantum of Solace’, will feature a cameo appearance from Ford’s fresh-faced new model, the all-new Ford Ka.

1 August 2008 - Figures released from the S.I.M.I. (Society of the Irish Motor Industry) show that total car sales for the month were 16,464 - that is a 26% increase on the July 2007 figure.  Ford secured the number one position in the period with a sales total of 2,034 vehicles.

This new AWD Transit is specifically targeted at customers who frequently face low friction surfaces, adding more flexibility and reliability to their transportation needs.

29 April, 2008 – Ford Ireland chief Eddie Murphy has called on legislators to make Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) mandatory on cars across Europe. The call came at an event at Mondello Park today to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technology on the new Ford Focus.
